  • Do you teach SAT Reading and Writing?

Yes! While this course focuses on SAT Math, we offer individual tutoring for SAT Reading and Writing and separate 3-month and 6-month courses for these sections. Currently, this is exclusively available to students who have completed the SAT Math course.

  • Who can make an 800 on SAT Math?

Anyone who has already scored a 600 SAT math in the new, digital format can work their way to an 800 with commitment and the right guidance.

  • Why is 800 on SAT Math a big deal?

An 800 on SAT Math puts you in the top 25% of admitted students at schools like MIT, Rice, Duke, and USC, making it a distinguishing achievement for competitive college applications. Even if a student is not seeking admission to these schools, because only 10,000 juniors each year earn a perfect score on SAT math, any school of choice will recognize and value this accomplishment.

Simply stated, our experience shows two things are almost always true when a student achieves a perfect math score on SAT:

    1) Reach schools expand

    2) Scholarship offers increase

  • I am a sophomore. Can I take this course?

Yes, if you meet the following conditions:

    - You have taken the PSAT and scored 580 or higher in Math.

    - You can form a group of five other sophomores to join the course together.

  • Why do I need a tutor or course for the SAT Math? Can’t I just take practice tests?

While practice tests are helpful, our course and tutors act as a catalyst or coach, helping you reach your goals faster and more effectively.

Even top athletes like LeBron James have coaches—not because they don’t know the game, but because coaches refine their skills and take them to the next level.

  • Why not all group sessions? Why not all 1-on-1 sessions?

This course balances one-on-one and group sessions to optimize cognitive load. Even top-performing students need structured time for both personalized instruction and collaborative learning to prevent burnout and maximize retention. The material delivered varies in intensity and specificity throughout the course.

Derek has learned in the past 35 years the most efficient and effective way to help students achieve top results is through a mix of these types of sessions.

  • I scored below a 600 on SAT Math. Can I still take this course?

Derek has a 5-session one-on-one crash course where he guarantees a 100-point increase. This course is $1,500.

If you’d like to schedule this, email us at SATmath@worldclasstutors.com or call us at 1-888-542-4151.

  • If I haven’t taken the SAT or PSAT yet, can I take this course?

With the prevalence of the nationwide program promoting in-school PSAT for sophomores and juniors and SAT for juniors, this situation is very rare nowadays.

However, if you have not taken one of these, you will need to take a timed, full-length practice SAT Math test without exiting or using notes (simulating test taking conditions as close as possible) to establish your baseline score. Visit CollegeBoard.com to download Bluebook and take an SAT Math practice test.

  • My school has study halls. Can I tutor during the day?

Yes! Derek has availability during the day for one-on-one sessions. A great number of students prefer to receive instruction during the day at school so that they can accommodate other commitments after school. Others have a packed day and prefer to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.

  • How is this course so effective?

The course was created and is led by Derek Moore, who brings over 40 years of tutoring experience and a proven track record of helping students achieve perfect SAT Math scores.

  • Can my grandma pay for my tuition?

Yes! Anyone can make a payment on a student’s behalf. Parents, grandparents, uncles, or any family member or friend, as well as schools and educational trusts are welcome to contribute to the tuition.

When completing the payment section, please write the student’s full name in the provided space.
